TL2L
Teaching and Learning in a Second Language
1/10/2001 - 31/12/2004

The Comenius project TL2L aims to help (future) teaching staff acquire the competencies to teach their subject in English. The project consists of different elements, all aiming at the development of these competences.

The (future) teaching staff will be trained to operate in the field of bilingual education. A relatively new and growing field of education that combines the acquiring of a second language with the teaching of subject content.

For practical purposes and to meet the demands of today's society the TL2L project focuses only on the use of English as language of instruction. However, future projects focussing on different languages are presently under consideration and investigation.

On 31 December 2004 the eligibility of the TL2L project ended. The project's final report was sent to Brussels on 28 February of 2005.
